CARE Act

The Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act intends to provide mental health and related services to individuals who meet specific criteria.

The Court will begin accepting petitions on December 1, 2024, in the Civil Division at the North Butte County Courthouse in Chico. Petitions may also be electronically filed free of charge via any authorized eFiling service provider (EFSP). The Self-Help Center will assist petitioners, respondents, and families as they navigate the process.
